About Coveted Words
Coveted Words is an independent publication launched in 2021 and revamped in December 2024 (Yes, I know it's 2026😊). We are currently under construction. Please be patient with us as we migrate and update our content.
Our Mission
To use God’s Word to highlight the intersection between The Word and our words. We want to become so saturated with the Word of God that it will clarify our knowledge of God, restore our God-given identity, and fill us with such an abundance of love that our words will continue to uplift, encourage, and sharpen others.
Why words?
If your words were wrapped in flesh and walked the earth, would you want them to represent you? Would you feel comfortable letting them roam free, spend time with those you love, go on a job interview, or share the love of Christ? Would your words take into consideration other cultures and context? Would you trust your words to take care of the poor, widow, orphan, fatherless, or foreigner?
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” -John 1:1 (BSB)
Our words should represent us as accurately as Jesus represents God.
Just so you know
I can’t promise to transform your life, make your life easier, or give you your heart's desires. I believe that is God's area of expertise. However, we will walk with you as you embark on a journey to deepen your relationship with God, shake off people-given identities, and use your words to uplift.
I will always do my best to give you tips, point out landmines, and direct you to resources that will help you on this journey.
But I'm not God, and I'm not your shepherd. We're all in the same fold.

About Me
Hey, my name is Yolande. I am, first and foremost, a willing (sometimes) vessel of the Lord. I’m also a little awkward; some may even call me an introvert (a recluse perhaps). I love to garden, read, and serve God's people.
Coveted Words is borne out of God teaching me about the power of words while simultaneously correcting me for my empty words. By using words aligned with societal, religious, and cultural norms I was speaking against God and ultimately myself.
Coveted Words is me being a doer of the word and not just a hearer.

Hi, Yolande here, my perspective may ruffle feathers, they are an honest (as I can be) reflection of where I am on my spiritual journey. There are times when this will sound preachy, judgmental, and all of those words used in place of conviction. I am with you on how annoying it can be. However, God has and will always have a standard. This by no means is a display of my personal perfection of that standard. However regardless of my abilities' I will share it as directed, as it does not depend on me to be true. I am not here to judge, point out flaws, or make anyone feel as if God does not love them.
